Emotional Freedom Technique

I have been an EFT Practitioner for the past 10 years and am always excited when clients are able to remove phobias and other traumas, develop better thoughts about themselves, and better manage their anxiety, stress, and pain through the use of this simple technique. While it doesn’t necessarily work for everyone, the results with a good number of my clients have been pretty amazing.


Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), also known as Tapping, is an energy-based psychology that uses the ancient Chinese meridian system to relieve psychological stress and physiological pain. EFT balances the energy system by using the fingertips to stimulate certain meridian endpoints on the face and body and neutralizes emotional conflicts at their source, which then allows the body and mind to resume their natural healing abilities. In addition, research on the science of EFT indicates that it rewires our brain in a positive way, unlike the negative rewiring that takes place as a result of stress, fear, anxiety, etc. Other studies have found that a one-hour session of EFT alone drastically reduces levels of cortisol, one of the body’s main stress hormones. Over-production of cortisol has been found to contribute to pain, fatigue, cravings, and weight gain, among other issues.
