I have a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling and am a Certified Wellness Coach and an EFT Practitioner who brings a holistic view to help midlife women transform their bodies and their lives.
Chronic pain taught me long ago that health is our most important asset. Unless you live in a cave, you cannot escape the fact that that asset is in serious trouble both nationally and globally. If you’re like many, you yourself are probably struggling in some way. I know I did.
For decades, I dealt with chronic pain, GI issues, and usually several respiratory viruses a year that resulted in loss of work and missing out on life in general. Throughout those years, I spent countless hours and thousands of dollars to finally get to a place where I am no longer struggling with 24/7 pain and fatigue and the accompanying depression and anxiety because, let’s face it, pain and fatigue are no fun and drain the life from you. The GI issues are also gone. And, you know what? The process was much more difficult and expensive than it needed to be! However, in that process, I learned a great deal about all the factors that affect our health, both positively and negatively. And it goes beyond just diet and exercise, although those are foundational.
Unlike many, I approached my fiftieth birthday with the attitude that it would be a rebirth rather than the beginning of a decline towards further pain, illness, and eventual death. It’s true that menopausal issues have at times raised some additional challenges, like what to do with the extra hours of time gained at night or questions about how I might be able to use the extra body heat to help reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. However, at 51, I am feeling the best I ever have. I continue to transform my own body and life and have moved way beyond just surviving the day to thriving and enjoying both.
My endless curiosity motivates me to continue to learn, and I use that knowledge to further benefit my clients. I am passionate about helping women move beyond outdated beliefs about health and aging and having them discover that the second half of life can be the best yet!
You don’t need my help to survive; you’re doing that on your own. But if you want to thrive, if you want to be more engaged in life with less pain, more energy, and a better outlook then you’ve come to the right place. I look forward to connecting with you.
